2. Edition
ALPS to ADRIATIC
888 km Self-Supported Ultra-Cycling Rallye
July 12 – 16 2026

ALPS TO ADRIATIC
2 x TransAlp
FLATY888 is an ultra-cycling rallye across the Alps to the Mare Adriatico and back, all on your own and without outside help. Our second edition will start south of Munich, the turning point of the 8 will be Venice.

THE ROUTE
88 Hours, 1 Epic Ride
FLATY888 is a free-route ultra-cycling rallye with 8 checkpoints (one of them secret…). It touches Germany, Austria and Italia. All public roads, paths, ferries and cable cars are allowed. Our reference route is 888 km with up to 8,888 meters of elevation gain. What will your routing strategy be?
Is FLATY888 flat? Well, it’s intentionally flatter than many other races, which improves accessibility for everyone. But don’t be fooled — just because it’s flatter doesn’t mean it’s easy. It can be brutal.

THE BIKE
Gravel? Road? Your Call.
FLATY888 is an all-road ultra-cycling rallye. Some checkpoints are off-road, so tire choice matters. A gravel or road bike with 32 mm tires should be enough for most. Wider gives you more freedom – but a MTB isn’t essential.
WHAT AWAITS YOU
Flatter? Yes. Easy? Never.
888 kilometers of open roads, stunning mountains, reflecting sea and endless horizons. Your breath in sync with every pedal stroke. It’s not about how fast you are. It’s about making it through all checkpoints to the very end.

THE CODEX
Self-supported – and truly so.
At FLATY888, you’re on your own from start to finish. No food, no tech, no shower – no organizer support at all. Only publicly accessible infrastructure is allowed: shops, campsites, fountains, ferries, cable cars. Support must be available to everyone – no private help, no pre-arranged bookings, no friends handing out snacks. It’s just you, your route, and the world out there.
THE TRACKING
Live Tracking Included
Accredited riders receive a GPS tracker to carry throughout the rallye. Live position and rankings are shown via FollowMyChallenge – the world’s leading dotwatching platform.

THE CHECKPOINTS
Expect the Unexpected.
Some checkpoints are anything but ordinary. Unique, demanding, and sometimes way off-road – they’ll push you to your limits – and they’ll test your skill, grit and willpower.
